Electric and sustainable family boat

RAND Boats' new electrically powered Picnic boat lets you spend family time at the sea without leaving an environmental trace.
The boat is built around a re-cycled plastic bottle kernel and offers wooden interior materials from sustainable forestry producer Kebony. And as for propulsion it is electric meaning free of noise and fumes with up to 16 hours on a single charge, leaving no oil spill or gasoline leakage in the water. Maximum speed is 13km/hr.
The eco-friendly boat is easy to use and requires no license - pressing the start button sets the boat underway. It sits incredibly calm in the water, and is both self-bailing and sink free making it among the safest family boats on the market. The Picnic boat seats up to 10 people.
Through an extended cable RAND Picnic can be charged directly from a home, or an outside electricity outlet. The Torqeedo Travel battery weighs only 9 kg and is built for easy transport. Pick it up, and plug into a home electricity outlet. With a 23% efficiency the solar cell table will remove the need for recharging even on clouded days as RAND Picnic also comes with solar transportable solar recharge options.
Founded in Denmark in 2013 RAND Boats specialises in eco-friendly and intuitive motorboats easy for everyone to use regardless of experience and ability.
