Here comes China - part three

Here come hybrids

Many of the electric buses made in China from the time of the 1998 Olympics, when the Government ordered 8000 electric buses (more than the rest of the world combined), are hybrid. Some Chinese electric motorcycles are now hybrid.

Cars

Chinese automotive makers have been tasked with having at least one green car in their range within two years and the easiest way of doing that is to make a pure electric microcar. However, that does not mean they sell well as yet because the Chinese government has been dilatory is installing charging points (an e-bike or its battery is carried to the apartment of the average Chinese worker, where it is charged and kept safe).

We shall further examine Chinese electric cars in Part Four.

Also attend: Future of Electric Vehicles which uniquely covers the whole electric vehicle market - land, sea, air whether hybrid or pure EV - with emphasis on future breakthroughs.
