With the increasing SAE autonomous driving levels, vehicles transform into living spaces, featuring new interior concepts that offer entertainment, opportunities for work or relaxation, and monitoring the safety of occupants and drivers. In-Cabin Sensing, also known as interior monitoring, primarily consists of two categories, including driver monitoring systems (DMS) and occupant monitoring systems (OMS). With the upcoming regulations, such as EU's General Safety Regulation (GSR) and SAFE (Stay Aware for Everyone) Act of 2020 in the USA, DMS is gradually transitioning from an optional system to a compulsory feature for new vehicles, bringing significant opportunities to hardware suppliers, software solution vendors, automotive OEMs, and system integrators.
In addition to regulatory requirements, in-cabin sensing technologies also become an emerging differentiation for automotive OEMs. As automotives gravitate towards electrification, the vehicles start to focus on smart interiors as their new selling points. The smart interiors bring significant opportunities to automotive OEMs to present unique features to buyers.
This webinar contains the following information:
- An overview of the regulations in Europe, China, USA, and Japan, and how the regulations affect the adoption rate of in-cabin sensing technologies
- An analysis of different in-cabin sensing technologies
- Commercial use cases and overview of players, including tier ones and tier twos
- Market opportunities and market forecast overview
This webinar shares some of the research from the new IDTechEx report, "In-Cabin Sensing 2024-2034: Technologies, Opportunities and Markets".
