Supercapacitors for beginners - part two

So far, most supercapacitors use organic electrolytes because they give higher cell voltage and other benefits, though these electrolytes do have pollution and fire issues in large capacitor constructions in some cases. Savvy manufacturers seeking maximum sales back both horses. For example, IOXUS develops and sells aqueous EDLCs but it has bought the following company with organic electrolytes.

The PowerSystems ELDCs are described by the company as follows:

Avantages:

  • Less deterioration than battery enables less maintenance.
  • Little deterioration by frequent recharge cycle uses enables such applications.
  • Because of no inclusion of heavy metal and no ignition material, the product has big advantage in environment and safety.
  • Suitable for heavy energy use among EDLC's.
  • Non-Hazardous materials

Applications

  • Container Handling Crane
  • Electric Power Facility
  • Construction Machine
  • Copy Machine
  • AGV
  • Stacker Crane
